GRANTS/OPPORTUNITES

ARTS FOR LA
Arts for LA is a voice for the arts in Greater Los Angeles that informs, engages, and mobilizes individuals and organizations to advocate for access to the arts across all communities; arts education for every student; robust investment in the arts; and inclusion of diverse and underrepresented voices. Arts for LA invests in leadership development, growing networks of civically engaged advocates; building deep relationships with elected officials; and working in partnership across sectors to make LA a vibrant, prosperous, creative, and healthy society.

CENTER FOR CULTURAL INNOVATION
The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) was founded in 2001 as a California 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. Its mission is to promote knowledge sharing, networking, and financial independence for individuals in the arts by providing business training, grants, and incubating innovative projects that create new program knowledge, tools and practices for artists in the field, and conditions that contribute to realizing financial self-determination.

ARTISTS CALL FOR ENTRY (CaFÉ)
Used by more than 160,000 artists and over 700 arts organizations, CaFÉ is the leading online system to manage art calls and reach more artists.

CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL
We are California’s only public arts grants provider with funding that is accessible to all 58 counties. As a state agency, we support local arts infrastructure and programming statewide through grants, programs, and services. The arts sector is large and diverse and its businesses and workforce are a significant contributor to our state economy and identity. California is home to 11,563 nonprofit arts organizations and our state’s creative sector accounts for $18.67 billion in assets and 15.4% of California’s total employment.

NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
The National Endowment for the Arts is the only arts funder in America—public or private—that provides access to the arts in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. Each year, we award thousands of grants to provide all Americans with diverse opportunities for arts participation.

We award cost/share matching grants to nonprofit organizations for a wide variety of arts projects, literature fellowships for published creative writers and translators, and Partnership Agreements with the 62 state/jurisdictional arts agencies and regional arts organizations.

CITY OF WEST HOLLYWOOD
The City of West Hollywood provides funding support, through arts grants, to eligible artists and nonprofit arts organizations for the production, performance or presentation of art projects that take place in the City of West Hollywood and that serve the West Hollywood community.

ART FAIRS

The Other Art Fair
When the art world as you knew it went one way, we went the other. Where elitism is the norm, we dared to deviate. Art isn’t confined to convention or rule, and how you enjoy it shouldn’t be either. We’ve created something different, and we want you to experience it. We combine affordable and original artworks and 140 independent artists with immersive installations, performances, DJs – and a fully stocked bar. Here, art is for everyone. So why not do something impulsive, get excited, and revel in the creativity? You belong here.

DesertX
The history of Desert X is short but mighty. It is an organization founded on the love of contemporary art and its ability to create cross-cultural dialogue while simultaneously engaging audiences and artists who find the walls of museums and galleries somewhat stifling. Its mission has always been ambitious, seeking to present curated exhibitions of site specific work by international artists who can amplify the beauty of the desert environment, while also creating a visual response to issues of vast importance to today’s global citizenry.

LA Art Show
The Most Comprehensive International Contemporary Art Show in America

Los Angeles has emerged as a global epicenter of art & culture, with a distinct, interwoven multi-cultural influence unique to the city. Diversity is our strength and art is most impactful when it includes or transcends all borders. As LA rises as the world-class destination for art, the LA Art Show continues to lead the way with innovative programming and one-of-a-kind experiences for an expanding collecting audience. LA Art Show is the unparalleled international art experience with over 120 galleries from more than 20 countries exhibiting painting, sculpture, works on paper, installation, photography, fashion, design, video and performance. All works presented by galleries are available for your purchasing pleasure.

More than 200,000 square feet of exhibition space is committed to today’s prominent galleries. These domestic and international galleries, beyond their booths, curate special exhibits that are at the forefront of the burgeoning contemporary art movement. The fair offers an extraordinary array of works and experiences in specialized sections.

SPRING/BREAK Los Angeles
SPRING/BREAK Art Show is an internationally recognized exhibition platform using underused, atypical and historic New York City exhibition spaces to activate and challenge the traditional cultural landscape of the art market, typically but not exclusively during Armory Arts Week.

Felix LA
Felix was co-founded by Dean Valentine and brothers Al Morán and Mills Morán. The fair’s mission is to create an intimate experience that prioritizes connoisseurship, collaboration, and community. A return to the hotel fair format, in the spirit of the storied Gramercy International Los Angeles at the Chateau Marmont, Felix grants galleries an efficient exhibition opportunity while offering the city’s collector-base intimate access and maximum flexibility. The informal setting allows for more extended conversations among collectors, dealers, and artists alike. In 2019, the inaugural edition of the fair welcomed a diverse creative audience, bringing in over 12,000 guests to experience galleries from Europe, North America, China, South Africa and Australia.

stARTup Los Angeles
stARTup Art Fairs are unique contemporary art experiences, a converging point in boutique hotel settings where art professionals and the art loving public gather to discover today’s most talented independent artists and engage with thought-provoking conversations, installations and performances. At our fairs, we feature over 60 independent artists selected by an ever-evolving jury of art world experts.

Frieze Los Angeles
Frieze was founded in 1991 by Amanda Sharp, Matthew Slotover and Tom Gidley with the launch of frieze magazine, a leading magazine of contemporary art and culture. Sharp and Slotover established Frieze London in 2003, one of the world’s most influential contemporary art fairs which takes place each October in The Regent’s Park, London. In 2012, Frieze launched Frieze New York taking place in May; and Frieze Masters, which coincides with Frieze London in October and is dedicated to art from ancient to modern. In 2019, Frieze opened its first edition in Los Angeles at Paramount Pictures Studios, taking place in February.

Art Palm Springs
Intersect Art and Design comprises three art fairs: Intersect Aspen (formerly Art Aspen), Intersect Chicago (formerly SOFA Chicago), and Intersect Palm Springs (formerly Art Palm Springs). Intersect Art and Design’s core values include working with integrity, decency, credibility, and transparency. Through art, and the diverse voices of our exhibitors and their artists, we encourage discussions that promote social awareness and foster positive change.

Superfine! Art Fair
